Shreyas Iyer, who is eager to make a comeback to the Indian cricket team, scored a resounding double century on Thursday, his third double century in first-class cricket. He scored a century in first-class cricket after almost seven years. He also made a significant innings when Siddhesh Lad scored an unbeaten 169 runs. Both Siddhesh Lad and Shreyas Iyer made a brilliant partnership of 354 runs.

Mumbai cricket team posted a first innings total of 602 runs with four wickets  in their Ranji Trophy Group A match against Odisha on the back of strong batting from both the batsmen.. Odisha team is currently trailing. At the end of the second day, Odisha team scored 146 runs for five wickets and their team is now 456 runs behind. Shreyas Iyer and Siddhesh Lad made a great partnership. The pair continued their strong partnership on the second day as they put on a blistering 354-run stand for the fourth wicket. The duo dominated Odisha's bowling, but Shreyas Iyer hit 24 fours and nine sixes in his well-regarded innings of 233. This is his third first-class double century. He had previously scored double centuries against Punjab in 2015 and against Australia in 2017. Shreyas Iyer was dismissed by Harshit Rathore.
