12. Ups and downs -- rise and fall of the fortune.

* Life is a series of ups and downs.

13. alpha and omega ---  the first and the last

* Shivaji Maharaj was the alpha and omega brave person.

* You are only alpha and omega for asking  money.

14..time and gain - often

*  They go to picnic on time and gain.

*  We travel by railway on time and gain.

*  All students in this school  behave caps in hand
