What is plural?
Plural noun : A noun stands for more than one person or thing is said to be plural noun
For example :
boys, women, monkeys, chairs, desks.
Now let's take a look on the rules to form plural noun.
1. Most nouns form their plurals by adding 's' to the end of the singular noun.
For example
1. Boy🙋♂️ - boys👬 2. Girl🙋♀️ - girls 👭
3. Dog🐕 - dogs🐕🐕
4. Spoon 🥄- spoons 🥄🥄
2. Nouns which end with sh, s, ss, x ,o or ch form their plural by adding es ...
For example :
1. Brush - brushes 2. Bus - buses
3. Class- classes 4. Box - boxes
5. Potato- potatoes 6. Bench - benches
3. Nouns end with 'y' change into 'I' and add 'es'
For example :
1. Pony - ponies 2. Lady - ladies
3. Baby- babies 4. Fly - flies
Note - The noun which ends with 'y' and ' y' followed by vowel won't change to 'ies '
For example
Monkey - monkeys ......as y is followed by vowel 'e'
4. Nouns end with 'f 'or 'fe' change to 'ves'
For example
1. Calf - calves 2. Knife - knives
3. Life - lives 4. Wolf - wolves
5. By a change of vowel
For example :
